In the Spring of 1926 we published Cornell Woolrich’s novel It was presented to us in the previous autumn, by a young man, just nineteen, still attending courses at Columbia University and it was one of the very few unsolicited manuscripts submitted to us during the course of the year that we were able to accept.
With this new novel, , Mr. Woolrich has won, in competition with a great many older and more experienced writers, the ten thousand dollar prize offered by in association with for the best manuscript submitted to them.
