Die Eifel steht für eine besondere Pflanzenvielfalt. Auf engstem Raum wachsen hier atlantische, submediterrane und alpine Arten. Auch eiszeitliche Relikte sind dabei, ebenso Pflanzen, deren nächste Verwandte an der Nordseeküste zu finden sind. Der botanische Reiseführer „Die Eifel – Was hier alles wächst!“ enthält sechs Kapitel mit Pflanzenbeschreibungen, geordnet nach typischen Standorten: Blumen der Wiesen und Kalkmagerrasen, Vegetationsgemeinschaft Buchen- und Eichenwälder, Laubmischwälder in Auen und Schluchten, Flora der Bachufer und Seen, Vegetation der Heiden und Moore und typische Pflanzen der Felswände. Insgesamt werden 172 Arten detailliert beschrieben und auf Farbfotos gezeigt. Zu jeder Pflanze wird allerlei Wissenswertes, das direkt oder indirekt mit ihr zu tun hat, erwähnt. Außerdem werden Standorte genannt, wo die Pflanze in der Eifel anzutreffen ist. Ein letztes Kapitel widmet sich dem Nationalpark Eifel und den Natur- und Geoparks der Region.
